Amperage is a measurement of the volume of electricity flowing through wires, and this measurement can vary. Most homes have an electrical service of between 100 to 200 amps. Where the grounding electrode conductor or bonding jumper connected to a single or multiple concrete-encased electrode(s), as described in Section E3608.1.2, does not extend on to other types of electrodes that require a larger size of conductor, the grounding electrode conductor shall not be required to be larger than 4 AWG copper conductor. Many of our customers here at Wire & Cable Your Way are looking for electrical wire to service their new. The main electrical service delivered to your house from the electrical utility company has a total available capacity, measured in amps, or amperes.
